We had some good conversations through personal messaging as well as through tumblr- and we can’t y’all enough for making the first time a success! With your feedback, we’ve tweaked the readings this month. A little… lighter, for Spring!
The books will be divided in to “Big Sharks” and “Little Sharks,” meaning books for adults and children (respectively).
This month, we picked two books. While Penny and I will read all (with a steady supply of tea and cookies), you can choose which you’d like (extra credit if you read all).
"Big Sharks" Book
So, why is this fictional book our choice for this month of Shark Bites? Turns out, Ellen Prager is DR. Ellen Prager, as in she was once the Assistant Dean at the University of Miami’s Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science. So yeah, I can see how the science can be sound. It’ll be fun for everyone to delve into some sci-fi with some good old fashioned shark love thrown into the mix.
Thanks for the recommendation, Delaney!

I will be writing my review of the novel on the 4th of June and will also announce the new book(s). Until June 4th, I'll be adding discussion questions to the Sarasota Fins Facebook page, as well as our tumblr.
I also encourage you to send us your reviews!
I can't wait to begin these books while soaking up a few rays every now and then. Not to mention, hear what you all think.
What new books have you read recently? Any books added to your nightstand?
