Quick question- why do people even hunt sharks? Isn't that, like, so over and done with?" -Joe
Thanks for your question.
Sharks and shark by-products are used by a lot of people. Shark meat is high protein/low fat. THERE IS A LOT OF MERCURY IN IT SO I DON'T RECOMMEND IT AT ALL. Shark by-products such as the oil is used in medicines, soap, cosmetics, and vitamins.
I stress that you use precaution in buying shark products, though. Not all shark fisheries as sustainable (most aren't) and I urge you to practice sustainable fishing methods-- even in the supermarket/beauty aisle!

Why do seagulls fly over the sea?
Because if they flew over the bay they would be called bagels!
Is there an actual, working shark repellent?" -Isabelle
Thanks for your question!
There have been tests on shark repellents! It's been seen that small magnets can repel small sharks. And a spray repellent was tested on bigger sharks, and while it worked, there is more to test before you buy it.
I know that great white sharks jump- and it's super duper coolio- but I wanted to know another thing. Sorry if it's silly or if you've answered it before, but...Do sharks jump?
