As the long weekend comes to a close, we embrace the starting summer with a moment of reflection, honoring the passion, work and pride of our fellow countrymen. It’s barbecues and bonfires, flags and fireworks, hot dogs and hamburgers, lemonade and watermelon, sun-drenched days and endless nights. These are the relics of the year’s most idyllic season (well, idyllic to this sun-loving girl)... and sharks are supposed to not be in the mix. Or, are they?
Take us back to Memorial Day Weekend 2014. This video sort of went viral... wonder why? Sharks! The description of the video reads:
Water was very clear at NSB inlet today, we witnessed a large group of sharks swimming around the shoreline and through the surfers. I happen to have my camera with me and videoed this group of about 10 to 15 sharks.
The sharks were anywhere from 3-5 feet in length and were not overly aggressive towards the surfers. The sharks appeared to be a mix of different types.
This event lasted for about 45 minutes and was truly amazing!
Last year we asked (and answered) the same question. Seems the reporters aren't up to par just yet, however. So, lets repeat.
Everyone have a fun and safe Memorial Day!
